About the role:

We're on the lookout for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team due to internal promotion.

This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your experience in financial accounting, with exposure to reporting, reconciliations, and year-end processes, all within a supportive and flexible team.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll play a key part in delivering accurate financial information and supporting decision-making across the organisation.

You'll work closely with the wider Finance team and stakeholders to support both day-to-day accounting and longer-term financial planning.

Key areas include:

• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes
• Preparing monthly financial reports and contributing to committee reporting
• Completing reconciliations, journals, and maintaining accurate financial records
• Assisting with year-end processes and Annual Report preparation
• Supporting audits and providing clear, meaningful financial information
• Contributing to financial projects, analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives

You'll also have the opportunity to be involved in unique workstreams, including supporting trust reporting and engaging with a variety of stakeholders.

About you:

You're someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy, and builds strong relationships with the people around you.

You'll bring:

• Experience in an accounting or finance support role
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Well-developed communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders
• A collaborative approach and ability to build positive working relationships
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
• Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
• A proactive, adaptable approach with a willingness to learn
• Confidence using financial systems and Excel
• A customer-focused mindset with a positive, can-do attitude
• Integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information

Working towards (or interested in pursuing) a professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA) will be highly regarded.
