Looking to gain hands on experience in the sport and recreation industry?

About the role

As a Recreation Coordinator, you'll play a key part in the smooth delivery of daily operations across our artificial turfs. This is a practical, people‑focused role where no two days are the same.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the coordination and delivery of turf operations and programmes
  • Setting up, packing down and supporting smooth programme delivery
  • Maintaining excellent facility presentation and safety standards
  • Providing friendly, professional customer service
  • Liaising with user groups, clubs, community organisations and casual users
  • Helping to promote programmes and support customer enquiries

These are part-time, fixed-term winter roles, with work predominantly in the evenings. Full training is provided for the right candidates — we value attitude, communication and a willingness to learn.

The two positions share the following rostered hours. Please indicate in your application which days you prefer:

  • Monday and Tuesday 5.30pm - 10.00pm
  • Wednesday 2.00pm - 7.00pm
  • Friday 3.30pm - 10.30pm
  • Saturday 7.00am - 1.00pm
  • Sunday 10.00am - 3.00pm

About you

Experience in recreation, sport, customer service or facility operations is helpful, but not essential. What matters most is enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

You'll be someone who:

  • Communicates confidently and enjoys working with all kinds of people
  • Is reliable, proactive and takes pride in high-quality service
  • Works well in a team and builds positive relationships
  • Has a keen interest in sport, recreation or community programmes
  • Are comfortable following procedures and maintaining a safe environment
  • Has a positive, solutions-focused attitude
