Lead the Future of Selwyn and join our Asset Management Leadership team!
About the role
Are you ready to shape the future of one of New Zealand's fastest-growing districts? Selwyn District Council is seeking a dynamic Engineering & Stakeholder Manager to lead our Development Engineering team and drive transformational land development across the region.
This is more than just a leadership role — it's a chance to influence how Selwyn grows. As a senior leader in our Asset Management Team, you'll be at the heart of stakeholder engagement, technical excellence and assisting with strategic planning. You'll manage a high-performing team, responsible for reviewing and inspecting critical infrastructure projects across the district, within statutory timeframes — all while fostering strong relationships with developers, internal teams, and community partners.
We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates with influence, and leads with purpose. If you're passionate about building communities, driving continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional service — we want to hear from you.
Join us in Selwyn and be part of a team that's not just building infrastructure — we're building the future.
About you:
You will be part of the wider Asset Management Leadership Team and manage up to five direct reports. As this is a newly set up role, this is an opportunity to build and shape the role as with your expertise. We operate within a supportive, high trust and performing, hands-on team environment.
