About the role

Selwyn District Council has fixed term opportunity for a Sports and Booking Administrator -to join our Sports and Recreation team, you will bring your superior customer service skills, sports & recreation knowledge, experience and a fun bubbly personality. this role will be responsible for the smooth running of the current booking system across the Sport and Recreation team

• Assist with the delivery of administration associated with sports clubs/user group bookings of sports facilities across the Selwyn District.
• Assist with the preparation of reports, calendars, spreadsheets and booking information to distribute to internal and external stakeholders.
• Liaises with internal and external stakeholders with bookings on Sports Fields located in the Selwyn District.
• Assist with the administration associated with council delivered Sports Events.

About You

We are a vibrant team so a love for working collaboratively is a must, great communication skills and the ability to get the best out of systems. Can you demonstrate your resilience when operating with others, you will have excellent communication skills alongside:

• Maintain a high standard of customer service throughout all interactions with sport event users
• High level of digital literacy, with experience with using Microsoft packages
• Previous experience with participation in, sport and recreation bookings is desirable but not essential
• Demonstrated ability to achieve targets and meet tight timeframes.
• A high degree of self-motivation and initiative - highly motivated, calm, reliable and flexible.
