Facilities Compliance and Planning Coordinator

About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Facilities Compliance and Planning Coordinator to oversee the Building Warrant of Fitness (BWOF) and regulatory compliance and maintenance process for our facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that our buildings comply with all relevant regulations and standards while optimising space and resources to support our operational needs.

This role requires a person who has excellent communication and planning skills to ensure the planning and maintenance is well thought out and coordinated with our stakeholders.

  • The first point of contact for BWOF enquires and liaising with stakeholders
  • Timely communication and provide quality advice to the Facilities Management lead
  • Proactively coordinate the quarterly planning schedules for repairs, maintenance, and upkeep of council properties
  • Ensure all BWOF's are current
  • Assess and analyse the ongoing effectiveness of current procedures and recommend improvements to FM Lead.

About you:

You will have the skills and experience of a Coordinator extraordinaire, with the ability to query, identify and advise on business improvement for the Facilities team. Ideally you will have local government experience and be able to provide quality building compliance advice to our internal and external stakeholders.

You will also have:

  • Previous experience and understanding of building and compliance requirements within local government environment is desired, however not necessary.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a coordinator (or similar) role within a large multidisciplinary and complex organisation
  • Through knowledge of local building codes, health and safety regulations, and regulatory standards.
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • The ability to maintain up-to-date records of compliance documentation and certifications
