Principal Asset Planning Advisor - Facilities
About the role:
We are seeking to recruit a skilled and experienced Principal Asset Planning Advisor to lead the development, writing and implementation of asset management strategies, providing expert advice on asset planning, demand modelling and operational plans and policies for the facilities portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with our Senior Leadership team, stakeholders and cross functional teams to drive business outcomes. You will also:
- Manage and provide leadership to Activity and Long-Term Planning processes including the development, writing and maintenance of Facilities Activity/Asset Management Plans and budgets.
- Lead the development and writing of strategic and management plans, and work with the Facilities Management Team to develop scheduled and reactive maintenance budgets for Long Term and Annual Plans.
- Contribute meaningfully to new programmes of work which include the assessment of climate change risks to the existing facilities portfolio, initiatives to reduce energy consumption, and the establishment of design standards for new facilities.
- Collaborate to drive continuous improvement in the Facilities activity, solving problems and finding ways to work smarter together.
About you:
- A high level of financial literacy and capability in budget preparation and management
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with a high attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to lead and influence
- Experience in the development and writing of activity/asset management plans
- Ability to rationalise technical information, think critically and strategically and deliver to required timeframes
