Aquatics Lifeguard
About the role:
Enjoy an active role in our Aquatic Centre where you will play an important part in the day to day running of our recently extended and modern facility. This is a full-time role (76 hours per fortnight) working a set roster. As you work as part of our team you will have
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment is essential.
- Maintain a safe environment for all our customers.
- Delivering exceptional customer service to our facility users.
- Pro-actively supervise the pool environment to prevent incidents, accidents, emergencies, and hazards.
- The hours of work are as follows:
Week One
- Monday, Thursday and Friday - 1.30pm - 9.30pm
- Wednesday - 7.00am - 3.00pm
Week Two
- Monday - 7.00am - 3.00pm
- Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - 5.30am - 1.30pm
- Saturday - 7.30am - 4.00pm
- Sunday - 12.00pm - 8.30pm
About you:
Our ideal candidate will have genuine interest in aquatics or sport and recreation. We will provide fully paid Lifeguard training where you will gain a nationally recognised qualification, a high level of motivation and be keen to learn.
You will also have:
- Experience in a customer facing role.
- An effective communicator
- Have a passion for community safety and wellness.
- You are comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people.
- You must be proactive, motivated, and keen to learn.
- Confident swimming ability and be able to pass a swim test.
200m continuously in less than 6 mins
50m breaststroke
25m side stroke
5 mins treading water.
