About the role:

You will be joining the Learning and Organisational Development team and wider People team who are friendly, supportive and forward thinking. This is your chance to help shape what learning and organisational development looks like in a progressive council.

You will be providing high quality training and support, as well as updating and maintaining our current learning management system. Specific activities you will find yourself doing include:

• Liaising with Managers to identify learning and development opportunities.
• Designing effective learning programmes with clear outcomes and measurable goals.
• Developing, sourcing, and implementing leadership and change management development initiatives.
• Measuring and reporting on the impact of development activities and learning.
• Opportunity to work across both Learning and Organisational Development.

About you:

You will bring your willingness to get stuck in, learn and try new things, that will support our people in performing at their highest level.

You will also have:

• The ability to create and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
• Facilitation and presentation skills or an eagerness to develop them.
• Experience utilizing tools and processes to help drive both performance and development.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and a continuous mindset of improving your and others knowledge.

We would also consider applications from those with a HR generalist background that have had exposure to Learning or Organisational Development.
