Senior Recreation Coordinator

Enjoy an active role as Senior Recreation Coordinator where you will play an important part in the day to day running of our brand new Selwyn Sports Centre. Coordinate daily operational activities associated with sport, recreation and fitness programmes.

Develop and deliver innovative sport and rec programmes, building partnerships with local community and sports groups to ensure we are meeting the needs of our growing district. Supervising the team on a day to day basis you will maintain a safe environment for all of our customers, delivering exceptional service to our users. You'll manage external and internal relationships with ease, be it managing scheduled maintenance or promoting our exciting new spaces.

Your previous recreation experience and relevant qualification means you have an understanding of the operational side of facilities and their importance in the community. An effective communicator you are comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people and enjoy building and maintaining positive relationships. You have natural leadership abilities and are proactive, motivated and keen to learn.

Selwyn Sports Centre will operate 7 days a week, so reliability and commitment to working early, late and weekend shifts is crucial. This is a full-time position offering 40 hours per week working from Tuesday to Saturday.
